Ski Challenges Bring in the Fundraisers

February 1st, 2010

In the middle of winter and the outlook for charities is anything but bleak!  Snow Camp have just completed their inaugural fundraising Ski Challenge in Austria descending the vertical height of Everest every day. At the end of the day they have raised over £30k in one weekend, allowing them to give even more kids life skills coaching and the opportunity of a better, brighter future.

Ski challenges tap into a whole new target of better off fundraisers who want to set themselves a challenge in a sport they are passionate about. If you think a ski challenge is another name for a holiday, think again. We’re on the first lifts up and the last off the mountain. There’s no nice warm mountain hut in which to have a beer or a hot chocolate, just a packed lunch in a coach or a gondola. Like any other objective based challenge, we ski hard all day every day, no matter what the weather throws at us, no matter how bad the thigh burn. And all the time we’re following local guides who set the pace to keep you challenged on your ski toes.

For 2011 we already have 3 confirmed ski events so the winter is looking busy for fundraising skiers and decidedly bright for charities coffers!
